How to add Google Analytics tracking code to Prestashop

In this post we explain how to configure Google Analytics in Prestashop. Before starting to work with your dropshipping store, it is basic to configure this tool.

Configuring Google Analytics in Prestashop is very simple. You only need to follow the steps below:

  1. First we must search the Google Analytics module in the administrator of our Prestashop. To do this, go to the Modules > Modules & Services section, located in the left menu.

2. Click on the ‘Installed modules’ tab. In this section, you will find the Analytics module, as you can see on the image below. In the case of not finding it, we can also search for ‘analytics” with the search bar. Once we have found it, click ‘Configure’.

3. In the event that we do not have a Google Analytics account created, we’ll have to do it through their page. If we have already created it, just add the ID of your account to the module and activate it. If you do not know how to get your Analytics ID, keep reading.

Recommendation

In order to get more advanced data in Analytics, we recommend setting up the Ecommerce Settings in Google Analytics. Simply enabling it is enough to start working.
