Advanced management of shipping templates for marketplaces on the Multi-Channel Integration Platform

In some specific cases, you may need to create templates in your marketplace in order to include them on the Multi-Channel Integration Platform. Below are the marketplaces and circumstances in which you will need to configure specific templates.

AMAZON

Template of products with shipping restrictions

Due to their nature, there are some products from the BigBuy catalogue that cannot be exported outside of Europe and which require you to carry out a series of configurations in the marketplace and on the Multi-Channel Integration Platform.

Firstly, we will create a specific template for those products that can only be sold in Europe.

  1. Go to the shipping settings on your Amazon account
  1. Once inside, you will need to create your own shipping template for this type of products.
  1. Select “Create a new shipping template” and click on continue. In the next step, assign a name to the template. Select your preferred pricing option, in other words, whether you want to calculate the shipping rate by product/weight or by prices range.
  1. Now you simply need to continue with configuring the template. Select the transit time and shipping costs of the regions available for the country that you are configuring.

5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to save and you will have configured the shipping template. The next step is to assign the offers for the country to that template.

In the settings panel which contains all the templates created, click “modify” on the drop-down menu and select “Set as a pre-defined template”.

Configuration on the Multi-channel Integration Platform

In order for the products to connect to the template you have just created, go onto the Multi-Channel Integration Platform, go to Carriers > Advanced template management and include the name of the template in the Shipping template name section.

Template for free shipping products

Some products from the BigBuy catalogue have free shipping and it is necessary to create a template with free shipping for these products and to enter their name on the Multi-Channel Integration Platform.

To create it on Amazon, follow the steps from the point above and set free shipping in the shipping prices.

Configuration on the Multi-channel Integration Platform

Once you have created your free shipping template for these products. Go to the Multi-Channel Integration Platform, and within the Carriers step, in the Advanced template management section, include the name of your template in the Free shipping template name section.

Nota
If your shipping template is the same as the free shipping template, you can use the same one in both sections.

KAUFLAND

With this marketplace, you can benefit from the option of free shipping for products that can only be sold in Europe and, that way, be able to send to other countries outside Germany.

The configuration of export templates in the Kaufland marketplace is simpler. From your account, go to “Shipping Settings”.

Once inside, you can create a template from scratch (recommended if you want to connect a specific set of products to this template) or you can modify the existing one to include the new channel. Below we explain both options:

In the first option, click on “add shipping group” to create a new template.

In the second option, select “Edit shipping group”:

The following panel will open for both options:

From here, select the regions or countries you want to operate in (within Europe) and set the shipping costs to €0.

Save the changes made to the template and you will have sales enabled to these countries with free shipping. If you have several templates, you would need to assign each product to the corresponding template. It is a laborious task if done manually, so we recommend using just one pre-defined template.

Configuration on the Multi-channel Integration Platform

Now you just need to include the template name in the feature enabled for this purpose on the Multi-Channel Integration Platform in the Couriers > Advanced template management > Free shipping template name section.
