1. Configuration on the Multi-channel Integration Platform

Firstly, you should access the settings screen of your online store on the Multi-Channel Integration Platform.

In step 4, Carriers, you will see the section “Carrier Configuration > Activate Free Shipping”: 

You can activate or deactivate it as desired. By activating the option, a selector will be displayed where you should enter the country of the market where the free shipping option will operate. The selector will display all of the countries where BigBuy can carry out shipping services.

Once you have selected the country of the market you are going to work with in your ecommerce, you should go to the final step of the Multi-Channel Integration Platform and publish to complete the configuration and activate this feature.

2. How can I check the option is active in the sales channel?

To do this, from the Multi-Channel Integration Platform menu, click on Products. In the pricing formula of a product from your sales channel, a new line will appear above the pricing rules applied to that product, which indicates the shipping cost to the country of the selected market in order to carry out free shipping.

If you do not configure the free shipping option in the Multi-Channel Integration Platform, the price formula of a product will look like this: 

How the feature works will depend on the configuration of shipping costs in your ecommerce. Below, we explain two possible ways of working with this feature:

• To manage shipping costs, use BigBuy’s Dropshipping Carriers app for Shopify or the Plugin Dropshipping Connector for WooCommerce
  • Shipping costs to a selected country will be added to the final price of the synchronised products.
  • When an order placed in your store is destined for the configured country, it will be shown as the “Free Shipping” shipping method in your store’s shopping basket.
  • If desired, through your store configuration, you can block the available countries that can make purchases (optional).

• Use your online store configuration to manage shipping costs

To use the free shipping option in the Multi-Channel Integration Platform with Wix, you will need to enable free shipping from the back office. To do this, go to Settings > Shipping & Fulfilment.

Then, click on edit and set the shipping costs to zero with the FreeShipping configuration.

Here is more information on how to do this. Remember that shipping prices to the selected country will be added to the final price of the synchronised products.

3. Things to keep in mind when setting up Free Shipping 

• The Free Shipping feature is only available for one country. 

• The Free Shipping feature cannot be set for a specific amount. 

• For PrestaShop, remember that even if the option is available in the shopping cart, all carriers will always appear.

Now, we’ll show you the simple steps to edit the texts and images of your store. Always remember to edit and publish the MIP before making changes, so everything will be as you want! 

1. Editing texts

By default, all product information is published from BigBuy for proper creation in the channel. Keep in mind this will affect every new product you publish: therefore, if you want to customize the texts of the product sheet, you need to select the elements you want to customize in the channel. Let’s see together how to do it! 

First of all, access Multi-Channel (MIP) > Your Store > Catalogue Management: 

In this section, along with other important configurations such as selecting which products to include or exclude and reviewing your selection completely, you will also find the option of Additional Configuration > SEO Text Customization: 

Here, you can choose the language and the element you would like to customize directly in your store: the title, product description, and category name.

Once you have configured this option, you can change the texts directly from the configuration of your online shop.

2. Editing images

Keep in mind that the first time you publish on the channel or a new product is published, all the information about it will be sent to create it correctly in the channel, including the images. 

As with texts, to be able to edit the images in your store, you must first configure this option in Multi-Channel (MIP) > Your Store > Catalogue Management. 

Once here, you will need to enter Additional Configuration again: however, this time the menu to select will be Product Images Update: 

By clicking on the dropdown, you will select Disable automatic image update for the entire catalogue. 

You can choose to disable the update for the entire catalogue, simply by selecting the option. 

If, on the other hand, you want to disable it exclusively for some specific products, you will need to enter them below. You can do this via SKU or via CSV file. We recommend this option if you have many references: this way, you will avoid a lot of manual work.

With this option you will free up disk space and space on databases, thereby improving the performance of your ecommerce, which is why it is advisable to delete inactive products.  If you select the “Yes” option, the products that have been inactive for more than 90 days and which do not have any orders will be deleted as, in most cases, they are discontinued products.

To configure the deletion of inactive products in your Prestashop or WooCommerce store, go to the BigBuy Module or Plugin. Once you have entered it, click on the Configuration tab.

In this configuration tab, you will see the option to delete inactive products. Here you will be able to activate or deactivate this option by selecting Yes or No. The deletion of products is carried out for those products that have been inactive for over 90 days and which do not have any orders.

It is very important to use a server with the necessary resources to use Multi-channel Integration Platform. 

• Dedicated server or VPS.  
• You should not use “shared” or “cloud” hosting servers. 
• Minimum processor: 4 cores

• Disk: 160GB (500GB recommended)

Depending on the software your server uses, you will be able to see the version of php it uses and configure it normally in some control panel software that your server provider will be able to provide. 

To work with our synchronization system, you will need to modify the default values of php to the following:

1. Server Requirements 

First, it’s important to check that our server meets the Server requirements for synchronising Woocommerce with Multi-Channel Integration Platform

2. Previous steps 

Before we install the plugin and start with the syncing process, let’s set up WooCommerce as follows: 

2.1 Taxes

Taxes will need to be set up appropriately. To do so, click on WooCommerce>Settings>Tax. The following tab should then appear:

If the Tax tab does not appear, go to WooCommerce > Settings > General and select the Enable tax rates and calculations checkbox.

Once changes to tax classes have been saved, you can create different rates. Standard, Reduced, Super Reduced, Not taxable, Medium reduced

You can create one, two or three different rates. When creating these rates, you only need to fill in the Country code, Rate and Tax name fields 

To create these rates, click on all of the rates in the Tax menu. 

2.2 Permalinks

• Settings → Permalinks → Common Settings and select the Post Name option

3. Installing the BigBuy Dropshipping Connector plug-in for WooCommerce

3.1 Searching the plugin

Now, we can start with the installation of the BigBuy Dropshipping Connector for WooCommerce plugin. To do this, go to the backoffice of your website and go to Plugins> Installed Plugins and click on Add New. 

Search BigBuy in the search engine, click on Install now and activate the plugin “BigBuy Dropshipping connector for WooCommerce” 

Once installed, the module BigBuy Dropshipping Connector for WooCommerce should appear in the section: Plugins > Installed Plugins.

3.2 Manual Installation

You can also install it manually through the following link by clicking on the Download button .

Once you have downloaded the zip file, you will need to follow the steps below. 

Go to the back office of their website: Plugins > Add New and click on Upload Plugin. 

Select the file you just downloaded and click Install Now. 

4. Synchronization with Multi-Channel Integration Platform 

Once installed, the BigBuy Dropshipping Connector for WooCommerce module, log in to the Multi-Channel Integration Platform to be able to start using it.  

Vaya a Multi-Channel Integration Platform > Ecommerce platforms > WooCommerce

Add your store URL and click login. Enter your WordPress login credentials and click Next. 

Make sure to enter the domain as it appears in your store, if you don’t have www in your store, you should not enter this value in the Multi-Channel. 

Click continue and after logging in to WooCommerce (only if the session is not already open) you will be able to grant the necessary permissions to the plugin: 

Once approved, you will be directed back to the Multi-Channel Integration Platform. 

5. Cron Jobs

efore you click continue, go back to the plugin and access the Minimum Requirements tab. If you have made sure that you complete all the previous steps (link) you should now see all the requirements in green, except for the one that refers to the CRON task: 

Now you will have to configure one of the CRON tasks proposed by the plugin. 

We recommend using the first one, using the curl command.  

Since these tasks need to be configured at the server level, it’s best to contact your hosting provider if you’re not sure how to set them up or which one to choose from. 

If the CRON task has been configured correctly, the requirement will appear in green, like the others: 

6. Connecting WooCommerce to BigBuy

Once these configurations are completed, you can synchronize your store from the Multi-Channel Integration Platform. 

Go to Multi-Channel Integration Platform > Softwares Ecommerce > WooCommerce and click continue (or Validate Connection)

7. LANGUAGES AND TAXES

Once you have entered your log-in details, you can click on Continue and move on to the next stage: languages and taxes.

In Multi-Channel Integration Platform you’ll need to relate each of the Standard, Reduced, and Super reduced  rates to the rates created in the first step in your WooCommerce. 

As for the language, by default the language of your store is selected, if you want to change the language, then you must change it in your store settings and return to Multi-Channel Integration Platform to update it.

To start synchronizing products, you need to go to the Catalogue Management section: 

Below, we’ll explain how you can add and exclude products from your synchronization, as well as the information you should consider before publishing them. 

1. Add products 

This is the first step to begin your synchronization. Choose the products you want to include in your catalogue. You can do this by category, brand, references, or CSV. We’ll explore each of these steps below. 

1.1 Add products by categories 

To select categories, use the drop-down menu in the category tree: 

You can select both main categories and more specific sub-categories and combine them as needed: 

Important: If you select a parent category, all child categories will be included automatically. 

1.2 Add products by brand 

To select products by brand, click on the “Add Brands” button and search for the desired brands, then click “Add” to include them: 

All products from that brand will be published in the sales channel, even if they haven’t been individually selected or aren’t part of the chosen categories. 

1.3 Add products by SKU or CSV document 

You can also add products from the BigBuy catalogue by searching by reference number (SKU) or importing a CSV file with the different SKUs of your interest. 

You can download the CSV files directly from the catalogue, after searching by keyword or selecting one of the dynamic categories Hot Deals and Top Sales: 

2. Exclude products

In this section, we’ll learn how to exclude products from our synchronization. 

2.1 Exclude products by price range 

When synchronizing by categories or brands, some selected items may not fit your sales strategy due to their price, either too expensive or too cheap. 

To exclude products by price, set a minimum and maximum wholesale price to exclude products within that price range from being published: 

2.2 Exclusion by condition 

Is your business idea to sell only new products? Or do you also want to take advantage of our selection of refurbished products? With this option, you can exclude products by their condition (new or refurbished) by checking the corresponding box: 

2.3 Exclude products by brand 

If you’re interested in excluding one or more brands from your sales channel, click the “Exclude Brands” button and search for the desired brands. Then click “Add” to exclude them from your synchronization: 

2.4 Exclude products by SKU or CSV document 

Similar to inclusion, you can exclude products by searching by SKU or importing a CSV file with the different SKUs you want to exclude: 

2.5 Exclude products with shipping restrictions outside the European Union 

If your business strategy also targets customers residing in non-EU countries, you can exclude products with shipping restrictions outside the EU by simply checking the corresponding box. 

Some products in our catalogue have shipping restrictions to countries outside the European Union (EU) indicated by references starting with S71*, S72*, S74*, S83*, S91*. If you sell within the EU, you don’t need to activate this functionality. 

Otherwise, we recommend activating it to avoid problems with products that cannot be shipped outside the EU. 

3. Selected products

In the “Selected” tab, you can see your current selection and the reason why each product was selected (by category, brand, etc.). Similarly, you can check why some products are excluded from your selection: 

If you want more information about a specific product, go to the “Products” section (in the left menu of the Multi-Channel Integration Platform) and enter the SKU or EAN of the product. Click the view icon to check its status and price. 

4. Excluded products

Similar to the “Selected” tab, in this section, you can check which products are excluded from your sales channel and verify the reason for the exclusion:

6. Additional settings 

In this section, you can select more options to perfectly align your synchronization with your business strategy. 

6.1 Update product images 

The products in the BigBuy catalogue may have image changes, so it’s recommended to update them automatically. If you choose not to, remember that only in the first publication of the channel (or a new product is published) will all product information be sent for its correct creation in the channel: 

6.2 Add custom text in product description 

This feature allows you to add custom text to all descriptions of your synchronized products. Depending on your business strategy, you can specify, for example, that you don’t ship to certain geographic areas or use a commercial appeal phrase for your business: 

6.3 Text customization for SEO 

By default, BigBuy publishes all product information for its correct creation in the channel. Note that this will affect every new product you publish. If you want to customize the texts of the product sheet or the title, select below which element you want to customize in the channel. Once the desired option is activated, data updates will not affect the changes you have made: 

6.4 Units for sale per product 

By default, some sales channels like eBay impose a restriction on new accounts for the maximum amount for sale. For this reason, we put one unit for sale of each product to publish the maximum number of products and have more chances of selling. 

If you want to publish more units per item, select this option and define the maximum stock to be published per range. Note that if you have publication limitation, this option will affect the number of published items: 

7. Things to consider 

• Each new publication overwrites the previous one. If you want to add new products without removing the previous ones from your store, you must maintain the first selection and expand it. 
• The maximum number of products to select for Ecommerce is 25,000. Additionally, 5,000 publications are reserved for publishing news from the selected categories. 
• If different categories, brands, and products are selected, all of them will be displayed. For example, if we select the category “kitchen” and the brand Bosch, not only Bosch washing machines or hoods will be displayed, but also products like drills, since the entire brand, as well as the entire category kitchen, is added. 
• Exclusion prevails over selection, so if we select the category kitchen and exclude Bosch, no products from this brand will appear, not even those in the kitchen category. 
• Inclusion by SKU prevails over exclusions. If we include a product by SKU, it will be considered selected in any case, even if we exclude by price range, brand, or product condition. 
• The only exclusion that overrides the inclusion by SKU is the exclusion due to shipping restrictions, explained in paragraph 2.5 of this article. 
• It is not necessary to publish by categories. If desired, you can add brands or even a complete list of products using the reference selection. 
• Remember to go to the last step and click on “Publish” when you have all the changes ready and want them to be applied.
