VAT is an indirect tax levied on the added value of a product or service and borne by the final consumer.
However, although it is a compulsory tax, there may be some exceptions that mean you don’t need to apply it. If this is the case for you, we will explain how to do this.
In order to configure your shop through the Multi-Channel Integration Platform and be able to sell without applying VAT to the final customer, you should do the following:
1º Configure your eCommerce with the Multi-Channel Integration Platform following the manual. For the 360º Dropshipping Store, follow the manual here; if you are setting up your own Prestashop, follow this other manual.
2º In the Prestashop control panel, click on International > Taxes and select the NO option on “Enable Taxes”. If you want to deactivate a specific tax, but not all of them, enter “Edit” in the line of the tax you want to deactivate and select NO on the “Enable” option.
The user that benefits from tax deactivation is identified through the delivery address. The countries to which each tax applies are assigned under “Tax Rules”.
In this way you will have configured your Prestashop store to sell without the tax.
If you want to increase the price of the product, you can do so easily in the step of the Price Rules in the Multi-Channel Integration Platform.
