When creating a new Shopify store, a domain of the name store-name.myshopify.com is created by default. In the “Store-name” section, Shopify uses the name of the store which was inserted when the store was created.

To check the domain that you currently have configured in your Shopify store and to change its configuration, access the “Settings” section located right at the bottom of the menu on the left.

By clicking on this, you will access the store information.  Once there, click on domains to check the configuration and/or to configure your domain.

If at any time you want to change the domain name to a new one or to your own, you have the following options:

1. Buying a new domain name from Shopify. Shopify allows its users to buy a domain name which will be managed and paid directly through Shopify. More information at: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/domains/add-a-domain/buying-domains
2. Transferring your own domain name to Shopify. Shopify allows domain name transfers to your platform, allowing you to manage your domain name directly from Shopify. More information at:

3. Connecting a domain name of your own to Shopify. Shopify also allows you to configure the domain name of an external provider to use in your Shopify store.
